APC IS FIRMLY ON GROUND AND READY FOR 2019 - MASARI

Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari CFR. had earlier today re-affirmed the All progressive congress party's (APC) strength in Katsina and the country at large. Katsina Media and Publicity reports that Masari disclosed this in Daura while on a sallah visit to president Muhammadu Buhari in his country home together with APC Governors, Deputy  Governors, State and Federal Parliamentarians and some APC chieftains. The Governor who was commenting over the recent victory of the APC in the last 10 days bye-electons across some part of the country said "the bye election in Daura has shown how APC is ready in Katsina State because the opposition PDP has only gotten 1/3 of the total votes cast". ONE WEEK TO THE END OF CVR REGISTRATION, MASARI CALLS FOR MASSIVE ENROLMENT

The Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari has called on the good people of Katsina State whom are eligble to own a Parmanent Voters Card (PVC) yet to do so, to utilise the remaining 7days of the continious Voter Registration (CVR) exercise. Katsina Media and Publicity reports that Masari made this call on the event of Hauwan Bariki on Wednesday at Saidu Barda house, Katsina State old Government House. Dickson Is Best Nigerian Governor, Says Secondus

The National Chairman of the  Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus has over the weekend  described Governor Seriake Dickson as the best Governor in Nigeria. He also  hailed the tireless efforts of Governor Dickson  at ensuring that the PDP remains cohesive and stable not only in his state but also at the national level. Katsina Media & Publicity 7th August 2018 The Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari says Katsina's economic mainstay had always been agriculture. Katsina Media and Publicity reports that Masari was speaking when he received the Minister of Agriculture, chief Audu Ogbe who paid him courtesy visit at the Muhammadu Buhari House, the seat of Katsina State Government. Masari recalled that the prominent sons and daughters of Katsina province including president Muhammad Buhari  were educated with proceeds realized from agricultural production by the then Native Authority. Police not involved in NASS siege – IGP Idris

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, has said the Nigeria Police Force was not involved in the siege on the National Assembly (NASS) by security operatives. Mr Idris absolved the police of any blame after a closed-door meeting with the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. He said the standoff at the NASS complex reached him as a surprise, adding that the police would soon issue a statement in relation to the impasse. “Obviously, like I said, I have not got a detailed brief on that. In fact we are going to issue a (press) release (on that),’’ he said. 2019: Dickson tells political appointees to resign, Sets August 15th deadline

In line with the guidelines of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the forthcoming elections.  Governor  Seriake Dickson, on Friday asked his appointees, who want to contest for any political office to resign their appointments on or before the 15th of this month. He stated this during an interactive meeting with all political appointees at the Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha Memorial Banquet Hall, Yenagoa. A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Francis Ottah-Agbo, quoted the Governor, as saying that, the meeting was convened as one of the proactive steps of preparing the minds of the appointees towards the elections He specifically directed all affected appointees to apply themselves to the standard practice of rendering their resignation letters to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government for proper acknowledgement and documentation.
