SENATOR DICKSON UNVEILS OFURUMA PEPE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT FOR BAYELSA WEST SENATORIAL DISTRICT 

 ...URGES YOUTHS TO ENGAGE IN PRODUCTIVE ACTIVITIES.   The Senator representing Bayelsa West and former Governor of the State, His Excellency, Chief Henry Seriake Dickson, on Saturday unveiled the Ofuruma Pepe Football Tournament for youths of the Senatorial District.          Senator Representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Henry Seriake Dickson on Friday, 12th November 2021 officially unveiled the Henry Seriake Dickson Football Tournament, tagged " Ufurumapepe Cup" According to him, the tournament is aimed at youth empowerment and grassroot. Governor Diri Launches ICT Empowerment Programme For Bayelsa Youths

 Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, on Wednesday, launched an ICT-based scheme to empower youths in the state. Under the initiative tagged "Diri Digital Entrepreneurship Empowerment Programme (DDEEP)," 8,000 beneficiaries across the eight local government areas of the state would be trained and equipped with information communication and technology skills.   Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has vowed not to divert state funds to his personal enrichment. Governor Diri stated this on Monday night during a three- day solemn assembly to usher in the annual State Thanksgiving at the DSP Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall in Yenagoa. The governor stressed that he had no reason to own landed property in foreign lands while serving in public office.  A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Daniel Alabrah, quoted him as saying that despite receiving several of such offers, he had often resisted them because of his strong conviction that state funds were for development and not for personal acquisitions. Gov. Diri Condemns Raid On Justice Odili's Home, Urges Probe 

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has condemned the raid by security operatives on the Abuja residence of Supreme Court jurist, Justice Mary Odili. Describing it as an ill-advised sting operation,Governor Diri said it was an attempt to intimidate the judiciary, which is an independent arm of government. The Southern Nigeria Frontier (SNF) is once again worried, about the recent invasion of the Abuja residence of Justice Mary Odili, of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. We consider this gestapo action, which available evidences have shown was ordered by the office of the Attorney General of the Federation, as the height of corruption and executive recklessness, targeted at once again intimidating the Nigeria's Judiciary, a conduct now synonymous with the Buhari regime.
