2019 ELECTIONS : "Educate Rural Dwellers on the continues voter Registration"- Engr. Barkiya to politicians

A renowned katsina politician, engineer Kabir Barkiya had called on the politicians to make effort in enlightening the rural dwellers about the the continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise in progress nation wide.

Barkiya made this call while on a visit together with katsina state delegates visited katsina State Governor Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, at the Banquet Hall of the Muhammadu Buhari House, the seat of katsina State Government.

Barkiya said, he personally formed a team that conducted a research on the INECs CVR at selected remote villages across Katsina State, the results find that over 90% of the people are not even aware of the exercise! The results shows "negative", calling on the politicians and particularly the State APC delegates to redouble their efforts in ensuring the rural settlers obtained their own permanent voters Registration Card (PVC) and the program is ending August 17, adding that without the PVC the number of APC supporters are countless hence,  it is only with the PVC Supports count.

Earlier, the Katsina State Governor appreciated the delegates gestures during the recently concluded APC national Convention in Abuja which brought the new party leadership, Masari was happy with what he termed height level of morality displayed by the state delegates.

  Inspite  of the deadlock in FAAC, the Bayelsa State Government has commenced payment of June salary to civil servants in the state, beginning from today,  Wednesday.                          The Government in a press statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Finance,  Mr.  Maxwell Ibibai said,  following the stalemate  in FAAC, Governor Henry Seriake Dickson directed the immediate sourcing of  funds to address the salary concerns of civil servants. The Commissioner said Government is sensitive to the plight of workers and will do all it could at all times to make workers happy. While stressing that Government holds workers in the state in high esteem,  he said Governor Dickson always gives priority to their welfare.  He also enjoined workers to be dedicated to duty.
