Bayelsa State Government Pays June Salary

Inspite of the deadlock in FAAC, the Bayelsa State Government has commenced payment of June salary to civil servants in the state, beginning from today, Wednesday.

The Government in a press statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Maxwell Ibibai said, following the stalemate in FAAC, Governor Henry Seriake Dickson directed the immediate sourcing of funds to address the salary concerns of civil servants.

The Commissioner said Government is sensitive to the plight of workers and will do all it could at all times to make workers happy. While stressing that Government holds workers in the state in high esteem, he said Governor Dickson always gives priority to their welfare. He also enjoined workers to be dedicated to duty.
