MASARI VISITS VICTIMS OF JIBIA RAINSTORM






The katsina State Governor Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari was earlier this morning in Jibia town to commensurate with the victims of rain storm in the area.


@Katgovmedia reports that Masari sympathized with the victims and prayed for Allah's  (S. W. T.) protection against re occuarance.


The rainstorm which occurred yesterday claimed live as some were feared dead as heavy rainfall washed away homes and properties.



The rainfall accompanied with heavy winds started at about 11pm last night and went on till 3am.


Katsina Media and Publicity reports that some of the affected areas are Unguwar Kwa-kwa, Unguwar Mai Kwari, Tudun Takari both the new and old settlements as well as Dan Tudu.



Earlier, the state Emergency Management Agency of the State was in Jibia to ascertain the level of the damage caused by the disaster and offer first aid assistance to the victims.

Recall that katsina Media had reported the visit by President Muhammdu Buhari to katsina town to commensurate with the victims of the katsina Rainstorm.

  Inspite  of the deadlock in FAAC, the Bayelsa State Government has commenced payment of June salary to civil servants in the state, beginning from today,  Wednesday.                          The Government in a press statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Finance,  Mr.  Maxwell Ibibai said,  following the stalemate  in FAAC, Governor Henry Seriake Dickson directed the immediate sourcing of  funds to address the salary concerns of civil servants.
