"APC ADMINISTRATION HAD AWARDED 71 ROAD PROJECTS WORTH 50 BILLION NAIRA IN THE STATE" - KTSG




The Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon.  Aminu Bello Masari had presided over the 6th State Executive Council Meeting of the 2018 held at the Muhammadu Buhari House, the seat of Katdina State Government.
           
       
Katsina Media and Publicity reports that at the end of the meeting, the state commissioner of information, culture and home affairs, Alhaji Hamza Muhammad Borodo with his fellow commissioner of housing and transport, Engr. Tasi'u Dandagoro briefed journalists on the outcome of the meeting.

Borodo announced that the council had approved for 16 civil servants to proceed on training in various higher institutions of learning across Nigeria.

This, he said was in line with efforts of the Masari administration to ensure effective service delivery and enhance better performance.

On his part, Engr. Tasi'u Dandagoro explained that the council reviewed contracts so far awarded by the present administration to improve the wellbeing of the electorates in the state.                         

He said the council adduced two reasons for the non completion of some projects in the state.

Tasiu revealed that one of the reasons is weather, i.e rains while paucity of funds was the other reason for the non completion of projects in the state.

Our correspondents report that Engineer Tasi'u Dandagoro while answering questions from journalists revealed that, so far the APC administration had awarded 71no road projects Worth 50 billion naira in the state.     

The works commissioner cited some of projects are 39 late rite roads, some are surface dressed roads and asphalt roads.             

@katgovmedia reports that in addition, Dandagoro said the APC administration inherited some projects, which had been completed with 70% payments as the previous administration only paid 30% .           such roads, he said include Sandamu- Baure- Babban mutum; mararrabar Sayaya- Mazoji - Tashar Icce; and Eka- Kadandani - Kuraye- Yargamji .

Dandagoro explained that the APC administration initiated new road projects which have been completed already. He said they include Gora- Makaurachi - Gamzago - Mallamawa and Fago- kwasarawa- Jirdede- Koza.           

He assured that the executive council had now taken steps to ensure completion of all ongoing projects before the expiration of the tenure of APC administration in the state.

INTERNATIONAL OIL COMPANIES FUELING INSECURITY IN NIGER DELTA - GOV. DICKSON
