MASARI FLAGS OFF 2018 GIRL-CHILD, FEMALE TEACHERS TRAINEE SCHOLARSHIPS SCHEME IN KATSINA



                                                             

Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, Thursday, flagged off the disbursement of the  Child/Female Teacher Trainee Scholarships Scheme and school improvements grant at the Local Government Secretariat of Rimi.

Katsina Media and Publicity reports that Masari who lauched the fund, cautioned the  Ministry of Education and State Universal Basic Education to ensure that the money reaches the real destination, instructing the use of banks account.

Masari further appealed to the beneficiaries to stay where the purpose of their training was,  cautioning with seriousness the Commissioner of Education and Chairman of SUBEB to make sure teachers are not only based in the urban areas.

@katgivmedia reports that the Commissioner of Education, Ass. Professor Badamasi Lawal Charanchi, narrated that the Katsina State Government had expended the whooping sum of N5bn in providing infrastructure for education adding over 2000 classes were newly constructed and some renovated.

The representative of the Emir of Katsina, Kauran Katsina District Head of Rimi, appreciated the state government for its contribution to education as well as other sectors,  urging the communities to take care of the facilities.

  Inspite  of the deadlock in FAAC, the Bayelsa State Government has commenced payment of June salary to civil servants in the state, beginning from today,  Wednesday.                          The Government in a press statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Finance,  Mr.  Maxwell Ibibai said,  following the stalemate  in FAAC, Governor Henry Seriake Dickson directed the immediate sourcing of  funds to address the salary concerns of civil servants. The Commissioner said Government is sensitive to the plight of workers and will do all it could at all times to make workers happy. While stressing that Government holds workers in the state in high esteem,  he said Governor Dickson always gives priority to their welfare.  He also enjoined workers to be dedicated to duty.
