Education Consultants visit Katsina ahead of Teachers workshop



The Commissioner for Education, Katisna State Dr. Badamasi Lawal Charanchi has received a team of consultants from National Content Development Monitoring Board ( NCDMB), Lagos State.

Katsina Media and Publicity reports that the team is in Katsina State to make assessment in preparation for the forthcoming workshop for Junior Secondary School Teachers in the areas of English, Mathematic, Basic Science and Basic Technology.

The aim of the workshop is to strengthen and improve the teachers' teaching skills so as to improve the quality of teaching these basic subjects which by extension improves the quality of education.
The Commissioner warmly welcomed the team and assured them of the Ministry of Education's support and cooperation for the success of the program.

Earlier in his remarks, the lead Consultant, Mrs Tonya said that the workshop is organized as a result of the inability of most Nigerian candidates to pass employment test organized by the Oil Multinational Companies across the country.

@katgovmedia reports that the board felt the need for the training, most especially for Junior Secondary School Teachers in the Nigerian Curriculum to update them in order to achieve the desired educational goals and prepare future candidates especially for Oil Companies Jobs.
The Workshop is scheduled to take place from the 3rd to 30th December, 2018 in Katsina State

Masari Inspects Ongoing Projects on Education and Health in Malumfashi

The Katsina State Governor, Rt. Aminu Bello Masari had inspected ongoing works on the renovation, rehabilitation and upgrading of some educational and health projects in Malumfashi. Katsina Media and Publicity reports that Masari first inspected the  Galadima Primary School where 48 classrooms are being completely rehabilitated and renovated to provide conducive atmosphere of teaching and learning. The Governor was conducted round the structures in the school by the Commissioner of Education, Alhaji Badamasi Lawal Charanchi and the Supervising Engineer, Muntari Sagir.       @katgovmedia reports that the Governor later inspected the project on the upgrade of Asibitin Tsamiya which is now being converted into Comprehensive Health Centre.       Masari was informed that Engineer Muntari Sagir Malumfashi single handedly upgraded the structures in the old Asibitin Tsamiya.
