Individual Action should be for national building and Not Personal Benefit~ Masari

The Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari has tasked people to actively participate in party affairs not because of benefits to oneself but as an avenue to contribute to nation building.

Katsina Media and Publicity reports that Masari was speaking during the official opening of Buhari/ Masari Agenda campaign office along the New Government House road donated by Alhaji Hamisu Garba Matazu.

The Governor explained that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has the mission of changing the perception of Nigerians on politics as a tool for serving one's fatherland with the zeal for development and not as a step to only enrich oneself.

He expressed his happiness that the donor of the APC campaign office is one of the APC primary election contestant who had lost but that did not deter his good intentions and mindset.

Masari said the good aspect of Alhaji Hamisu Garba is that after losing the APC primary elections, he became more determined to contribute towards the success of the party in 2019 general elections.

Also addressing the APC supporters at the new APC campaign office, the Katsina State Party Chairman, Alhaji Shitu S. Shitu revealed that the donor of the APC campaign office joined the party two years after he retired from the state civil service as a financial controller with the State Universal Basic Education board (SUBEB). Since then, Alhaji Shitu told the gathering that Alhaji Hamisu Garba Matazu had carved a niche for himself in the party.

@katgovmedia reports that he therefore asked APC supporters to emulate the donor of the APC campaign office for the victory of the party in the 2019 general elections. Earlier, the donor of the party office, Alhaji Hamisu Garba Matazu said offices had been erected, in addition four vehicles had been made available for the three senatorial zones and the headquarters of the campaign office.

He revealed that several associations have joined this movement adding that they hoped to contribute their quota towards the next general elections in the state.

Highlight of the occasion was the official opening of the party office by Governor Aminu Masari, cultural entertainment and political singers added colour to the ceremony.

SYLVA, A DESPERATE POLITICIAN UNDER THREAT FROM HIS CONSCIENCE - DICKSON

...SAY HE RUNS WHEN NOBODY PURSUES HIM The Bayelsa State Governor, the Honourable Henry Seriake Dickson, on Wednesday described former Governor Timipre Sylva as an unpopular and desperate politician whose conscience remains his greatest threat. Dickson said in a statement by his Special Adviser, Media Relations, Mr. FIdelis Soriwei, that Sylva cuts the gnawing image of a troubled man screaming and fleeing at the sight of nobody. Dickson was reacting to a claim by Sylva that the governor was behind a plot to pitch the Chief òf Staff to the President, Mr. Abba Kyari, against him through orchestrated media reports. Soriwei said that Governor Dickson is too involved and indeed occupied with the execution of the mandate the Bayelsa people gave to him, to be distracted by the hallucinations of a politician whose lifeline in politics was the state òf the mood of his political masters. The Governor’s media Aide said that it was queer and absurd that Sylva did not point to any p...
