Lagos 2019: Angry Epe residents chased out Sanyo-Olu,Obanikoro

Contrary to reports, that the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was received in Epe last Friday, amid rousing welcome by a crowd of  residents and political leaders in the Lagos East axis, our reporter can authoritatively report  that Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his entourage were actually chased out of the town, by angry residents, a situation which the Lagos APC, desperately ensured was given a media blackout aftermath.

Recall that Mr. Sanwo-Olu was scheduled to meet with monarchs in the Epe Division, who were to receive the APC candidate’s entourage at the palace of Oloja of Epe land.

Upon the arrival of the APC team at the Palace of the Epe Monarch,  Angry residents of the town, in their numbers mobilised and  barricaded the Palace, where they descended on members of the Sanwo-Olu campaign train, including a former Minister of State for Defense, Musiliu Obanikoro and chased them away from the Palace.

The angry protesters demanded that the APC candidate and His team, depart Epe immediately, as all efforts by the Traditional ruler and Chiefs present, to persuade the protesters fell on deaf ears.

The irate protesters, wielding sticks and stones later descended on vehicles and some supporters who have followed Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to the Palace, thereby bringing the visit by the APC gubernatorial candidate, to a close, while the candidate and his entourage, scampered for safety under heavy security cover, out of the town.

  1. This is nice, I still believe in the people. The monarch and party chiefs just lost their respect. The traded people's welfare for their own personal gain. Shame on all of them. God bless Ambode wherever he is
