GOV. DICKSON BAGS DAILY ASSET AWARD




Bayelsa State Governor, The Honourable Henry Seriake Dickson will on Tuesday in Abuja be honoured with an award by Daily Asset Newspaper.

The latest award is coming after several media awards bestowed on the governor by prestigious organizations like Daar Communication, Silverbird Group, The Nation Newspaper, The Leadership Newspaper, The New Telegraph Newspaper, amongst others.

The governor last year bagged several awards in Health, Good  Governance, Agriculture, Education and Accountability from the various media outfits.

The State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Daniel Iworiso-Markson who will receive the award on behalf of the governor said it is the first of series of awards that Gov. Dickson will be recieving in the first quarter of 2019.

He listed the others to include Daily Independent Newspaper award, The Sun Newspaper award and Silverbird award.

Iworiso-Markson noted that the numerous awards are in recognition of Gov. Dickson's commitment to transform Bayelsa State since he took over in 2012.

He added that Bayelsa today has a new identity because of the consistent drive of Gov. Dickson to change the fortunes of the state which has suffered from years of underdevelopment.
