Bayelsa Govt. seals off Agip facility

The Bayelsa State government has sealed the premises of Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) Oil and Gas facility, in Egbebiri, a Biseni Community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The Chairman of Bayelsa State Physical Planning and Development Board, Hon. Ebi Waribigha, said the sealing of the facility followed an eviction order issued by the State Physical Planning and Development Tribunal in Yenagoa. The eviction order had granted the government of Bayelsa State leave to effect the eviction of Agip and all occupants of the premises to enable the Physical Planning and Development Board to conduct environmental, health, technical integrity and safety checks at the facility. Dickson said in a statement by his Special Adviser, Media Relations, Mr. FIdelis Soriwei, that Sylva cuts the gnawing image of a troubled man screaming and fleeing at the sight of nobody.
