BAYELSA PDP ACCUSES EX MILITANT OF CHASING AWAY SECURITY PERSONNEL FROM PEREMABIRI,

...APC THUGS ATTACK COUNCIL OF CHIEFS CHAIRMAN IN SYLVA’S TOWN

An ex-militant leader under the Presidential Amnesty Scheme, Mr. Paul Eris alias Ogunboss, has sacked policemen and Nigerian Security and Civil Corp deployed on election duty to Peremabiri.

The Bayelsa State Chairman of the PDP, Chief  Moses Cleopas, said in a statement on Friday that the ex militant leader and his thugs have prevented security personnel deployed on election duty to the Peremabiri community.

The PDP Chairman stated further that the ex militant leader and his thugs have chased out over 2000 supporters of the PDP from the troubled community.

Keku said that the ex militant leader was preventing members of the community from getting into the community to carry out their civic responsibility of electing their leaders.

Cleopas added that it was rather curious that the men of the Nigerian Army were supporting the ex-militant to deprive the people of the community the right to vote.

He lamented that the soldiers of the Nigerian Army who invaded the palace of Ateke Tom in Okochiri, Okrika, opted to look the other ways when acts of terror are being visited on Peremabiri.

The PDP Scribe said that if armed policemen and operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp could be chased away by the thugs led by Ogunboss, it would be impossible for defenseless members of the community to vote without intimidation.

He called on the nation’s security leadership to  note the collusion between the Army and the thugs being led by Ogunboss in the subversion òf the electoral process in Bayelsa.

Cleopas also said that the APC thugs working for Chief Timipre Sylva have beaten up the Chairman, Council òf Chiefs, òf Sylva’s town, Okpoama, Orukari.

He said that Oruwari’s Offence was that he refused Sylva’s directive that everybody in Okpoama should vote for the APC.

He added that the military opted to do nothing to prevent rampaging thugs as they destroyed the property of Oruwari in Okpoama.
