Bayelsa Guber Aspirant, Hon Romeo Bekeyei Applauds Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan's Role on South Africa Elections

- Says South Africa did well.

In the aftermath of the successful General Elections recently held in South African, a leading gubernatorial aspirant in the forthcoming Bayelsa 2019 Guber Election, Hon. Romeo Bekeyei, has applauded  former President Goodluck Jonathan in the role he played in ensuring the government and people of South Africa recorded such levels of transparency and successes in the election generally described across the global sphere as free, fair and transparent.

Bekeyei while responding to questions from journalists after the day's sitting of the Presidential Elections Tribunal in Abuja yesterday said, "As a country, we have been blessed with distinguished leaders who have consistently been at the forefront of global affairs. His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan is one of such pragmatic leaders that Nigeria and indeed Africa has produced".
Continuing he said "This is evident in his noble role when he recently stormed Johannesburg, South-Africa, to lead the Election Observation Mission of the @EISAfrica to South Africa’s National and Provincial Elections".
The elections were held to elect a new National Assembly and Provincial Legislatures in each of the provinces.                                    Held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019; it was the sixth election since the end of apartheid rule in 1994, and determines the next President of South Africa.
Still full of encomiums for the former Nigerian leader, Bekeyei added " I strongly commend the noble role of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and his team of the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA) for the thorough work they did in Jo'burg. And I have no doubt that his personality is a great gift to our dear country, Nigeria. I strongly enjoin leaders across Africa to emulate his statesmanship and what he stood for while in office. This is a noble hallmark and I will continue to hold him in very high esteem".
Hon. Bekeyei also applauded the South Africans. Hear him: "I also wish to congratulate South-Africa for the peaceful elections. They did well, and I  trust that Nigeria's electoral processes will continue to grow positively drawing from the noble path set by Dr. Goodluck Jonathan".
