Governor Dickson Commissions the Castle at the Golf estate, new Yenagoa city, Onopa.


It was conceived and built by Late Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha, furnished and commissioned as Governor's lodge by Chief Timipre Sylva and was remodeled and converted to a five star hotel called The Castle Yenagoa.
It is equipped with a standard swimming pool, lawn tennis court, beautiful landscape, lavishly furnished rooms, a helipad, Polo Club, golf course and in a secure environment.
The facility has since been open for use and has hosted many dignitaries including governor's and is being managed by the Golden Tulip Hotels.

Bayelsa State Government Pays June Salary

  Inspite  of the deadlock in FAAC, the Bayelsa State Government has commenced payment of June salary to civil servants in the state, beginning from today,  Wednesday.                          The Government in a press statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Finance,  Mr.  Maxwell Ibibai said,  following the stalemate  in FAAC, Governor Henry Seriake Dickson directed the immediate sourcing of  funds to address the salary concerns of civil servants. The Commissioner said Government is sensitive to the plight of workers and will do all it could at all times to make workers happy. While stressing that Government holds workers in the state in high esteem,  he said Governor Dickson always gives priority to their welfare.  He also enjoined workers to be dedicated to duty.
