NIG@60: ALGON MADE-IN-NIGERIA set to create history - Organisers …with Exhibition/Trade Fair and Lecture 

 


 All is now set for the commencement of the NIG@60: ALGON Made-In-Nigeria exhibition/trade fair and lecture, as organiser have disclosed that the event will create history and rebrand Nigeria as the pride of Africa. In a press statement, Head of Media on the project, Mr Olu Adekunle, noted that this is the first of its kind event in Nigeria, conceptualized with the objective of promoting massive economic development and empowerment schemes at the grassroots. He explained that the event also marks the end of a year-long series of activities designed to mark Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary as directed and approved by His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR in September, 2020. The Opening Ceremony of the NIG@60: ALGON MADE-IN-NIGERIA EXHIBITION/TRADE FAIR AND LECTURE is scheduled to hold on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2021 by 10 AM PROMPT at the OLD PARADE GROUND, AREA 10, GARKI, ABUJA. Expected to grace the occasion are the Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo SAN, GCON, Senate President Senator Ahmed Lawn, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Barr. Boss Mustapha Minister of Industries, Trade & Investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo and all members of the Ownership Sub- Committee , the Minister of Special Duties & Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator. George Akume. The chairman of the occasion is H.E. Governor Kayode Fayemi, Governor of Ekiti State and Chairman Nigeria Governors forum , the host of the event is the FCT Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Musa Bello while the Royal Father of the day is the Ona of Abaji, HRH Alhaji Baba Yunusa,


Chairman FCT Council of Chiefs. Others expected to attend include the Hon Minister of Information Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Director-General, National Orientation Agency (NOA) Alhaji Garba Umar, Mr Umana Umana of the Oil and Gas Free Trade Zone,ONNE, Eng Simbi Wambote of NCDMB, Local Government Chairmen, Royal Fathers, captains of industry, members of the Diplomatic corps Ordinary President Ahmed Isah, Founder Brekete Human Rights Radio and others. The Trade Fair and Exhibition would last from Monday 27th September to Thursday 30th September. However, the organiser added that the general public is also invited to attend and participate in the four day event.

  Inspite  of the deadlock in FAAC, the Bayelsa State Government has commenced payment of June salary to civil servants in the state, beginning from today,  Wednesday.                          The Government in a press statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Finance,  Mr.  Maxwell Ibibai said,  following the stalemate  in FAAC, Governor Henry Seriake Dickson directed the immediate sourcing of  funds to address the salary concerns of civil servants. The Commissioner said Government is sensitive to the plight of workers and will do all it could at all times to make workers happy. While stressing that Government holds workers in the state in high esteem,  he said Governor Dickson always gives priority to their welfare.  He also enjoined workers to be dedicated to duty.
