Former Media aide to Bayelsa Governor and CEO , Red Sapphire, Ono Akpe Celebrates Wife @50 With Beautiful Encomium, Renews Marriage Vows



  It was a night of celebration at the popular COCKEREL Restaurant located at Treasure island, Abuja Zoological park, area 1 Garki, Abuja as family, friends and business associates joined the CEO of Abuja premier event management company “ Red Sapphire “ and former Media aide to Bayelsa State Governor, Mr Ono Akpe as he celebrated the 50th birthday of his lovely wife “ Mrs. Grace Onome Akpe and the renewal of their 21years marital vows. 


Mr Akpe described his wife as a caring and God fearing woman and mother who has demonstrated undiluted love, and  tolerance towards him, saying that he feels blessed, happy and joyous to have her as wife. 


The Abuja based event manager, appreciated God Almighty for sparing the life of his wife who went through a medical procedure this year..He also expressed thanks to God for being alive to celebrate his jewel as she attains the milestone age of fifty years, saying many people could not live to see their spouse celebrate 50years of existence.


 “ So many times I have done things for outsiders more than her, but she wouldn’t complain, I want to thank her for her patience, sacrifice and understanding, if I am giving the opportunity to remarry, I will still choose her as my wife” 


he stated. He said like many other marriages, their 25 years union has had their ups and downs but God has been faithful to us, hence the need to renew our marital vows “.

While appreciating all who took time out of their busy schedule to honour his wife, he  called on young people to look beyond outward appearance when searching for a marriage mate. 


Speaking at the occasion, the officiating minister and Bishop of Solid rock church, Dutse Abuja, Bishop Major Akpe drew his theme text from song of  Solomon 8:6 where he urged the couple to continue to let their love burn like a blazing fire,because with God such love will enable them surmount any challenges. 


Making reference to the book of Lev25.10,Bishop Akpe proclaimed liberty and blessings on the celebrant since the 50th year is the year of Jubilee. In her remarks, the celebrant, Mrs Onome Akpe, said she felt awesome and grateful to God for the grace to attain the milestone of fifty years, she expressed appreciation to her beloved husband for organizing such a wonderful and surprise celebration for her. 


“It has been  21years of marital bliss and we are still growing stronger with God on our side we shall celebrate our Golden Jubilee in good health and prosperity” she said. 


 She appreciated all who took time to share in their joy especially her colleagues and bosses from Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) staff of Red Sapphire and COCKEREL Foods, family, friends, amongst others. She specially thanked her long time friend and close associate, Phil Okoroafor who worked behind the scenes to organise the surprise dinner party.


 Highlights of the occasion included renewal of marriage vows, exchange of rings ,cutting of cake, goodwill messages from family, friends and business associates and a dedicated music rendition from Mr Akpe to his wife
