Gov. Dickson Unveils First Phase of 12km dual carriage ISAAC BORO EXPRESS WAY.

Governor Dickson today unveiled the Isaac Boro Express Way.

The 12km dual carriage road which has been in use the past seven years being the major artery of the state capital, was a single lane road before the Dickson led Restoration Government assumed office in 2012.

The governor who today commissioned the completed the 9.7km in length, equipped with one flyover, 23m wide, and spanning from Oxbow lake to Tombia Junction being the first phase of the road, stated that the dual carriage way and other roads constructed in the state, came at a great cost especially with the dwindling economy and would serve the people for a long time.

The second phase is about 3km long comprising of another flyover at Tombia junction. The contract for the second phase has already been awarded to the same company that constructed the first phase, Julius Berger and the governor used the opportunity to call on the incoming government to advance the project as it was for the good of all.

'This is about the longest internal road across a state capital, another signature project of the Restoration Government which I call the Restoration wonder'. It is indeed a dividend of democracy.

I call on the incoming government not to politicise this road but to complete what is left for the benefit of our people'.

Dickson was reacting to a claim by Sylva that the governor was behind a plot to pitch the Chief òf Staff to the President, Mr. Abba Kyari, against him through orchestrated media reports. Soriwei said that Governor Dickson is too involved and indeed occupied with the execution of the mandate the Bayelsa people gave to him, to be distracted by the hallucinations of a politician whose lifeline in politics was the state òf the mood of his political masters. The Governor’s media Aide said that it was queer and absurd that Sylva did not point to any p...
